Bread Up is a Bánh mì eat in or take away place that has opened up in the Hòn Gai district of Halong City very close to the famous market - a must visit for anyone staying across in the more popular tourist district of Bai Chay. The place is new, bright, reasonably priced and the owner runs a social media handle on Twitter using both Vietnamese and English. My wife is from this part of the city and was impressed with the Bánh mì flavour and presentation - far more than the touristy places over the bridge or for that matter in Hanoi. They also accommodated my request for a vegetarian version. I like to support and encourage new business and I hope this year of the Rabbit will bring success and prosperity to this new venture.
